Manchester United has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with sports wagering company Bwin for an undisclosed quantity, making it the club’s “official online gaming and wagering partner”.

Recently, United floated its shares on the US stock market, raising $233m (₤ 150m), less than initially hoped.

“Man Utd has 569 million fans outside of Europe, offering us with a fantastic opportunity to use jointly created and innovative products in nations that do not yet allow real cash online sports wagering,” he said.
